Tier 2 Targeted evidence-based group trauma-informed interventions

iSTEP-GLOBAL’s Tier 2: Trauma-Sensitive Targeted Interventions in Schools course is a short course focused on understanding small-group support for students who show signs of trauma-related challenges but do not require intensive clinical care.

These interventions build on universal Tier 1 practices and offer more focused strategies such as social-emotional skill groups, trauma-specific interventions, check-in/check-out systems, and mentoring.

Participants will learn how to identify students in need of Tier 2 support, implement evidence-informed interventions, and monitor progress within a trauma-sensitive and culturally responsive framework.

The course can be taken as this short-course or as part of the 3 Tier framework course ‘Trauma-informed Multi-tiered Systems of Support (TI-MTSS). For the latter, please click on the link below.
